許冠傑 (Sam Hui) 賣身契

Sam Hui (許冠傑) is one of the earliest artists who produced originally local music, when the majority of the market at that time is filled with modifying songs (i.e. localized with cantonese lyrics).  That eventually set him apart from other artists and become one of the best performer in the Hong Kong entertainment industry in his time.  The industry has given him the nick name of 歌神 (God of Singing) well respect by the general public.

This album recorded all the songs coming from a very popular movie 賣身契, where Sam's brother was also in the movie.  Sam's brother 許冠文 is a very talented actor, and they have been in a lot of popular movies in the 1970s and 1980s.

Some of the famous songs include 學生哥 where it describes day to day life of a teenage student, and 父母恩 that describes how children should treasure the relationship with parents.
