Protecting Your Sound Burger: A Budget-Friendly Travel Case Solution
Recently, I purchased the Audio-Technica AT-SB727 Sound Burger from Amazon when it is on sale ($200), and I couldn't be happier with it. For those unfamiliar, it is a compact and portable bluetooth turnable, perfect for on-the-go music lovers. Given its unique design and retro appeal, it's become a favorite among vinyl enthusiasts who appreciate both style and portability.
However, when I decided to take my Sound Burger on trips, I realized I needed a proper carrying case to protect it. Naturally, I checked out the official Sound Burger case, only to find that it was priced at $59—quite expensive, considering the Sound Burger itself costs around $200. That seemed a bit steep for a simple case, so I started looking for alternatives.
One of the first alternatives I found was the CASEMATIX Sound Burger Case on Amazon. However, this case was priced at $65, making it even more expensive than the official one. At that point, I knew I had to explore other possibilities based on the size and dimensions of the Sound Burger.
After some searching, I came across a Hard EVA Protective Travel Case made by Hermitshell, originally designed for the Fujitsu ScanSnap S1300i Mobile Document Scanner. Surprisingly, this case fits the Sound Burger perfectly (please see photo), providing excellent protection and a snug fit. Best of all, it only costs $35, making it a much more reasonable option compared to the official case or CASEMATIX’s offering.
For anyone looking for a reliable and budget-friendly way to carry their Sound Burger, I highly recommend the Hermitshell Hard EVA Case. It provides excellent protection without breaking the bank. If you're in the market for a travel case, consider this alternative and save yourself some extra cash!
